The Department of English, Sylhet International University, is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Guardians’ Meeting 2025, held at the Mini Auditorium with vibrant participation and heartfelt enthusiasm from our respected guardians.

We were deeply honoured to have Professor Dr. Md. Ashraful Alam, Vice Chancellor, as the Chief Guest, and Professor Nitai Chandra Chanda, Treasurer, as the Special Guest of the event. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Pranab Kanti Deb, Associate Professor and Head, Department of English.

Professor Tutiur Rahman, Dean, School of Law, and Professor Shamsul Alam, Dean, School of Business and Social Sciences, also delivered inspiring speeches, emphasizing the importance of guardian–university collaboration in shaping students’ academic and moral growth.

Ms. Swati Rani Debnath, Assistant Professor, presented an overview of the Department’s journey, achievements, and future plans, while Ms. Anamika Shaha, Lecturer, graciously hosted the event.

The Department sincerely appreciates the active participation, valuable suggestions, and inspiring engagement of all guardians, whose thoughtful contributions strengthen our shared commitment to student development and academic excellence.
