Department of English, Sylhet International University, has successfully organised a Seminar on "Modernism in English Poetry" today, on 30 August, 2023.

The students of the 4th Year 2nd Semester, in two distinct groups, actively contributed to the success of the seminar as presenters.

Group A ( Preety Dey, Trisha Akter, Urmee Sultana, Noubin Akter) presented a paper on "Navigating Complexities in Modern poetry," and Group B ( Abdur Rahman, Nishat Begum, Shahima Islam, Sadia Akther) presented paper on "Mythical Motifs in Modern Poetry: A Comparative Analysis of T.S Eliot, W. B Yeats, W. H. Auden and Dylan Thomas."

The presenters successfully fascinated all the students of the English Department with their amazing ideas.

After the presentation, Professor Dr Abul Fateh, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Swati Rani Debnath, Head of the Department of English, Mouni Bhattacharjee, Saiful Islam, and Mahfuja Akter, Lecturers of the Department of English shared their valuable remarks on the paper.

The seminar ended with the certificate awarding ceremony.
